Courtney Husby
Manager, Funeral Director & Embalmer
Courtney was born and raised in Sussex, WI. In 1999, she began work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the age of 18. However, her true calling was to become funeral director, which she accomplished in 2009.
Courtney began her apprenticeship at Cesar Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home in Waukesha and compeleted it at Bevsek Verbick Funeral Home in West Allis. She joined Phillip Funeral Home in July of 2012.
"West Bend and the surrounding communities have become like family to me," she said. "Being of service to others is a true passion of mine."
Courtney has recently moved to Slinger, enjoys being with her family, spending time in Three Lakes, WI, kayaking and boating. She claims that a little chihuahua named "Buddy" has stolen her heart.

Janelle Stevenson
Administrator & Funeral Director
Janelle was raised in Slinger where Phillip Funeral Home got its start. Phillip served Janelle's family with such compassion and professionalism, it became her inspiration for pursuing a career in the field.
After high school, she proudly served four years in the Air Force as an Aerospace Medical Technician. She earned her mortuary science degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC in 2005, and returned to Wisconsin in 2006, when she started working full-time as a director at Phillip Funeral Home. In 2010, she fulfilled a personal goal of earning her BBA at at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, majoring in Supply Chain and Operations Management. She is currently working part-time in the office, and is very happy to serve the community.
Janelle and her husband, Craig, live in West Bend, where they enjoy spending time with family. They love to travel.

Robert Knippel
Prearrangement Counselor
Robert was born in the small northwestern town and graduated high school in Menomonie, WI. To feed his growing desire for serving people, he began his training for the public ministry. He received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Northwestern College, Watertown, WI, and a Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Thiensville, WI.
Robert served as pastor for ten years in Rice Lake, WI before serving ten years as pastor in Madison, WI. One of the true joys in his parish ministry involved serving families at their time of loss, and eventually his career path led him to funeral service.
Robert has served Milwaukee and surrounding communities for 12 years as Advance Funeral Planner and Community Educator. He and his wife Mary Beth have been married 32 years and have been blessed with two children and four grandchildren. He enjoys woodworking, fly fishing, and loves to travel.
