GOING BACK IN TIME

Our History

The story of Phillip Funeral Home began in 1986, when Jim Phillip purchased the former Rothenbach Funeral Home in Slinger, Wisconsin. As a longtime resident, Jim understood the importance of giving back to his community and providing families with care rooted in compassion and respect.

To better serve the growing needs of Washington County, Jim and Ann Phillip built a new, modern facility on Paradise Drive in West Bend in 1991. Designed for comfort and convenience, the new location allowed the funeral home to expand its services while maintaining the personal attention families had come to trust.

In 2001, Paradise Cremation Services was added to the West Bend campus—becoming Washington County’s first on-site crematory. This addition reflected a continued commitment to innovation and family-centered service, offering families a complete range of cremation options under one roof.

For nearly four decades, Phillip Funeral Home has been dedicated to helping families honor life with dignity, quality, and respect. Though much has changed since our early days, our guiding principles remain the same: to serve our community with compassion, integrity, and care—when it matters most.
