Obituary
William "Bill" Rodney Drost, age 64, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at his home in West Bend, WI. He was born on March 31, 1961 in Milwaukee, WI to Rodney and Harriett (Goll/Nack) Drost. Bill loved the outdoors — whether it was hunting, fishing, or spending time at his cabin in the Northwoods with his son, Aaron. He treasured family road trips to Montana and could often be found tinkering in the garage. Bill was known for his humor, quick wit, and love of reciting one-liners from his favorite movie,
Caddyshack
.
Bill is survived by his only son, Aaron (Hannah) Drost, and their unborn child due this December; his sisters, Tracy Thomas and Judith (George) Stippich; nieces, Kristie (Jeremy) Buss and their three children, and Kimberly (Jon) Gloege and their daughters, Anna and Ellie "Ellie Girl;" and his nephew, Jason (Jenny) Otto. He also leaves behind many relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Harriett Drost.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Fred A. Schaefer VFW Post 1393, 260 Sand Dr., West Bend, WI from 3 to 6 p.m. The family invites everyone to bring a favorite story or memory of Bill to share. Food and drinks will be provided.
