William H. Beasley "Bill", age 77, of West Bend, passed at Cedar Community and is now at peace on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. He was born on June 5, 1937 in West Frankford, IL to Cevil and Mildred (nee Wicker) Beasley. Bill was raised in Pontiac, MI. He met Karen while in the Air Force in Madison, WI, and they married on December 31, 1960 in Patch Grove, WI.
Bill worked for the Milwaukee Police Department for 30 years and retired as Detective Lt. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His grandchildren referred to him as Papa. Bill was very passionate about restoring old classic Buicks. He also loved the outdoors fishing and hunting and was a grade school basketball coach. Bill enjoyed working with boy scouts as a leader.
Bill is survived by his wife Karen of 54 years; children Dawn (Bob) Pieper, Diane Magnusson, Bryan (Annette), Cheryl (Michael) O'Hara, Kevin (Noelle); grandchildren Kyle (Laura), Keith, Matthew, Erik, Danielle, Krystal, Aaron, Amanda, Adam, Sadie, Jude, Aubree, Cade, Landon, Bristol; great-grandchild Leonardo; sister-in-law Sally Beasley. Further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Cevil Jr., and Paul Beasley, sister Barbara Sue Hardin.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Frances Cabrini church (1025 S. 7th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. with Father Enrique Hernandez of St. Frances Cabrini presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 2-4 p.m. until the time of the service.
