Walter "Wally" William Schuster, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 87.
Wally was born on July 25, 1938, to Emil William and Dorothy (nee Hartling) Schuster. He married his love, Shirley Kirchner in 1971
.
Together they were blessed with one child-Terry William. Wally served in the Army as a Construction Machine Operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his work shop making bird houses, wood shelves and anything his wife found a design for. He is a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139 for 64 years. He enjoyed operating the finishing bulldozer. He was a great water skier in his younger years on Druid Lake. Wally enjoyed going to the casino once a month. That was our vacation get away. He always found someone to talk to sitting next to him at the slot machine. He was so proud of our military grand-children.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley (nee Kirchner); child, Terry William (Rebecca); 3 grandchildren, Chief Petty Officer Meghan (Tony) Gordon, Nicole Schuster, Petty Officer Second Class Michael William Schuster; great-grandchildren Piper Ponce, Declan Gordon, Skylar Ghannouhm; Sister-in-law Rosanne Kirchner. He is further survived by a niece Brenda (Patrick) Stephany; nephew Kenneth (Jenny) Kirchner Jr. other relatives and many caring friends.
Wally is preceded in death by his parents Emil and Dorothy Schuster, In-laws Marvin and Lila Kirchner, brother-in-law Kenneth O. Kirchner, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) from 3:30pm until 5:45pm followed by a 6:00pm Funeral Service. A Private Family Interment will be at Union Cemetery in West Bend.
