Obituary
Wallace C. "Wally" Ritterbusch, of West Bend, WI, passed away peacefully on September 11
th
, 2025 at the age of 101. Wally is survived by his loving wife of almost 66 years, Gerry (nee Dickinson); his daughter Dina Roberts; grandchildren Yvonne Ward (Edward), Brett Wallace Roberts (Amy), Jenelle Roberts (Misael); great-grandchildren Nora, Arlo Wallace, Huck, and Jaxton.
Wally was a proud WWII Navy Veteran, serving on LCT 547 during the invasion of Normandy at Omaha Beach. He was awarded the Knight of the Legion of Honor Medal from the French Government for his service, and was a charter member of the S/Sgt. Henry F. Gumm Legion Post 486, in Jackson, WI.
Wally was an amazing husband, a wonderful father and the perfect role model for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Special Thank you to Veronica, Iris, Sabria and the entire Legacy Hospice team for all the loving care they provided to Wally.
A memorial service for Wally will be held at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI 53095) Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 4:00 PM, with military honors to follow. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 PM. He will be interred at Washington County Memorial Park.
