Obituary

Triese Haase-Ruppert (nee Richards) died unexpectedly and found peace on May 4, 2013. She was born on December 26, 1945, in Stambaugh, Michigan, and graduated from Iron River High School in 1964. She attended St. Norbert College and UW-Madison.
Triese is survived by her loving husband, Michael Ruppert; her mother, Ileen Richards; daughter Charlotte (John) Dey; son Christopher (Cheryl) Haase; sisters Peggy (William) Jacobson, Raddie (Fred) Maurer, and Patty (Ray) Rogers; as well as step-children Tracy (Jack) Sommerfeld, Kristine Ruppert, and Timothy Ruppert. She also leaves behind many grandchildren: Connor and Allison Haase; Alan Dey; Kayla, Zachary, Bailey, Joey and Alexa Sommerfeld; Kirstie and CJ Dorzok; and Michael, Myranda, and Teyonna Ruppert. Numerous nieces and nephews will also be missing her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Alan Haase, as well as her father, Radford Richards.
Triese worked as a piano teacher for several years, then later working as the Administrator for Federation of Environmental Technologists (FET) for over 20 years. In her retirement, she spent time scrapbooking, sewing, loving her grandchildren, and volunteering in her local community. She loved animals, music, chocolate, flowers, and reading Anne Rice and Stephen King. She enjoyed world travel, especially to Mexico.
Unconditional love of family and friends was the guiding principle of her life, and everyone who came in contact with her knew how much they were loved by the many gifts and gifts-of-self that she showered upon them. Triese always wanted people to be happy, and her trademark smiling face with a kiss or hug was the way she greeted people.
Triese was a beautiful woman who has left us too soon. She believed in angels, prayer and kindness. She would want everyone to perform some act of kindness in her memory. As she always wrote, God Bless!
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend (1420 W Paradise Drive) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. A rosary prayer service will take place on Wednesday, May 8th at 3:30 PM and the visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:45 PM.
