Thomas J. McDaniel, loved by many, will enjoy this Christmas in heaven. Tom succumbed to mounting health issues, at age 84, on Monday, December 22, 2014. He was born on May 4, 1930 to George and Florence (nee Golden) McDaniel. Tom was raised on a farm in Kaukauna, Wisconsin and graduated from St. Norbert High School. He went on to receive a Bachelors of Business from St. Norbert College and his Masters from Loyola University in Chicago. He served in the Army as a First Lieutenant for two years and retired in Sales from General Electric Medical. He met his wife, Monica (nee Meier) McDaniel at 4H Camp in Green Lake when they were only 13 and 14 years old and married on June 22, 1957 in Eden, Wisconsin.

Tom lived life to the fullest and was known and loved for his integrity, wisdom, empathy, and sense of humor. He will be remembered for his contagious laugh, as he loved socializing with his many beloved friends and relatives.

Tom is survived by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Monica (nee Meier) McDaniel; children Sheila Piccione, Maggie (Tim) McDaniel-Mollwitz; grandchildren Caitlin Piccione, and Madeline, Megan, Michael, and Maxwell Mollwitz; siblings Marie Schomish, Pat McDaniel, and Anne McDaniel; siblings-in-law Mary (nee Meier) Bick, Rita (Harlan) Draeger, Bob Meier, Betty (Dick) Theis, and Sandy Meier; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents George and Florence; siblings Rita (Ray) Casey, Bob (Rosie) McDaniel; brother-in-law Butch Schomish; sister-in-law Lorraine McDaniel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Church (1025 S. 7th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) on Friday, January 2, 2015 with Visitation from 1:30PM until the time of the Service at 3:00PM. Interment of ashes will take place at Eden Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
