Thomas G. Luecke, age 83, was called to his eternal rest on January 18, 2026.
Thomas was born on December 13, 1942, to Alma (née Beseke) and Edwin Luecke. He was united in marriage to Karen A. Unseth on June 11, 1966, by his father-in-law, Pastor E. G. Unseth.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Karen A. Luecke, his daughter, Mari (Bill) Leininger, his son, Thomas E. Luecke; his grandchildren, Amanda (Marcus) Kimbrough, and Alex Leininger; and his great-grandchildren, Aliahna and Jayla Blunt, Marcus Jr., Mykai and Malia Kimbrough. He is also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Vivian Weseloh, brother-in-law, Ted Unseth, and sister-in-law, Linda Unseth and many loving nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Alma Luecke, his parents-in-law, E G. and Lorna Unseth, his sister, Marlene Nissen; his niece, Wendy Werderits; and his brothers-in-law, Les Nissen and Allan Unseth.
A faith-filled Christian, Thomas lived his life grounded in his love for God and his family. He faithfully served his church as a volunteer for over 45 years, giving of his time, talents, and heart in dedicated service. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his family was always his greatest joy.
Services will be held on January 31, 2026, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 777 Indiana Avenue, West Bend, WI at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. A light lunch will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church’s Building Connections Fund or charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend for their wonderful care and treatment of Tom. We are also deeply grateful to the staff of The Pavilion and Allay Hospice for their compassionate care and for making his final days as comfortable as possible.
Thomas will be remembered for his strong faith, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family and church. His legacy of faith and love will live on through the generations.
