Obituary

On July 18, 2026, at Horizon’s Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, WI, surrounded by her family, Sue Ann M. Geib (nee: Wagner) age 80, was reunited with her husband Peter in heaven. Sue Ann was born on March 29,1946 in West Bend, WI to the late Peter and Erna (nee: Kanies) Wagner. On May 29,1965, Sue Ann married Peter Geib at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Barton, WI, they shared just under 50 years of marriage before the Lord called Peter home to heaven on September 9, 2014.

Sue Ann, known to be an incredibly hard worker, was employed at Amity Leather Company for nearly her entire working career. She was a long-time member of the West Bend Moose Lodge where for many years she led the teen club. She was an avid fan of the Washington Red Skins and enjoyed harassing Green Bay Packer fans every chance she could. Her hobbies included working on puzzles, reading, shaking dice, playing cards and testing out her luck playing slot machines. She loved to tend to her Rose and Lilac bushes. She also collected music boxes and wind chimes. During Christmas time, Sue Ann would get the family together so they could bake and decorate dozens of cookies. Her spirit lit up every room; she loved dancing, celebrating with family and friends, and keeping everyone on their toes with her playful sense of mischief.

Her fiery personality and straightforward honesty made her unforgettable to those who knew and loved her. She cherished her role as a grandmother and did not carry the title lightly. She would light up and come alive anytime she was in the presence of her great-grandchildren.

Sue Ann will be missed dearly by her children; Peter Jr. (Karen) Geib, Jacqueline (Channing) Worzalla, and Mariellen (Darrell) Wodsedalek, grandchildren; Kayla (Mark) Lichtenberg, Adam Geib and Ashlee Zetzer, and great-grandchildren; Jaxson, River and Cedar. She will also be missed by her siblings; Joan (Erv) Claas and Bonnie Voeks, sisters-in-law; Carol Lindemann, Mary Daley, Lois (Dan) Guse, and Brothers-in-law; Paul (Mary Lee) Geib, Richard Hensen, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Erna, her husband Peter Sr., sisters; Evelyn (Louis) Kalies, Ruth (Edwin) Dickmann, Harriet (Lawrence) Leppla, Mary (Robert) Synder, brothers; Eugene (Nellie) Wagner, Richard (Jan) Wagner, Raymond (Nancy) Wagner, James Wagner, Peter Wagner and Robert Wagner, as well as grandson-in-law Josh Zetzer, among others.

The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Lisa Haller from Aurora and the Cedarburg DaVita Nephrology team, Horizon Home Care and Hospice, including the Lawlis Care Team, as well as Brenna from Serenity at Home for the extraordinary and compassionate care that you showed Sue Ann.

A celebration of life will be held for Sue Ann at a later date. She and Peter will be laid to rest in the memorial wall at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
