Steven R. Schneeweis, 64 years, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Kathy Hospice after a three month battle with leukemia. Steve lived in Saukville.

Steve was born on July 11, 1952 to Richard and Maxine (nee Busko) Schneeweis.
Steve married Rita (nee Burggraf) on September 3, 1977. After their marriage, the couple raised their family in Saukville, Wisconsin.

Steve started working for the family business, Colorcraft Inc. a lithographic color separator, during high school and continued through college. After graduating from college, Steve became a key member of Colorcraft. Steve became a pioneer with the modern tools of the Macintosh computer and Photoshop for color retouching and editing. After Colorcraft closed, Steve stayed in the graphic arts trade and was employed at Universal Lithographers Inc. as their pre-media supervisor until his retirement in 2016.

Steve had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed taking many trips throughout the United States. In 2005, Steve and several friends embarked on a four week dream ride to Alaska. He also loved working in the yard, especially decorating for Halloween. Photography was another passion of Steve's, but most of all he loved spending time with family.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Rita, son Eric (Rachel). Siblings: Nancy Prentice, Jerry Schneeweis, John (Kelly) Schneeweis, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life for Steve will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend). Visitation with the family will be at the funeral from11:00 am until time of service (1:00pm).
