Shirley M. Yahr (nee Guerndt), age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Cornerstone in West Bend. She was born on October 17, 1947 in Hartford, WI to William and Gertrude (nee Umland) Guerndt. Shirley married Jeff Yahr on July 12, 1982 at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. She enjoyed taking short gambling trips, watching the Packers and the Badgers and just relaxing watching the birds on her birdfeeder.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey; sons, Brian (Denise) Roethle, Jason (Christina) Roethle; grandchildren, Audrey Anna, Amber Lynn, Anthony, Katie, Elizabeth, Alexis; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Rosche, Brenda Springer and brother, Bob (Debbie) Guerndt. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shirley is preceded in death by her first husband, David Roethle and her parents

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Chaplain Ron Schneider presiding. Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the funeral home from 11:30 AM until the time of the service (1:00 PM). Interment will be Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Washington County Memorial Park.
