Obituary

Shirley Jean Wiese (nee Becklund) passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on April 8, 2017, at the feisty age of 84.

Shirley was born on December 21, 1932 to Clarence and Caroline Becklund in Milwaukee. Shirley graduated from North Division High School on June 12th, 1952. On June 21, 1952, she married Paul R. Wiese at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Shirley was a clerk at Krambo Food Store in Milwaukee, where Paul was her boss. Shirley later worked for Sears, at Bayshore and Northridge shopping centers, retiring after 25 years.

Squirrely Shirley and Paul spent 64 wonderful active years together, camping, traveling, boating snowmobiling, gambling, playing bingo, cards and dice. They were members at River Bend Resort in Watertown Wisconsin for 47 years. In the spring of 2016, Shirley and Paul moved to West Bend, to be closer to their family.

She taught Sunday school at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, and was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughters' troop. Shirley also volunteered with the West Bend Children's Theater and Cool Breeze Helping Hands Horse Rescue. Shirley was a long standing member of the Eastern Star.

Shirley was an amazing woman full of love and humor. She lived life to the fullest and left us saying, "Remember when…"

She is survived by her honey bear and the love of her life, Paul R. Wiese, daughter Donna (Peter) Hesprich, son-in-law Bill (Jackie)Vandenberg, proud grandmother of Matt (Jessica) Seiser, Anthony (Katie), Aaron (Kelly) Seiser, Jon (Jamie) Zautner, Valerie Vandenberg, Claire (Rob) Braby, Katy (Jake) Smith, many cherished great and great-great grandchildren, "little" sister Karen (Ron) Kuehn, brother-in-law Vernon Wiese and sister-in-law Edna Wiese, special friends Grant and Christa, Ed and Karen, Jim and Kay, many four-legged grand pets and other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Caroline Potzner and Clarence Becklund, in-laws Tracy and Esther Wiese, daughter Sandy Vandenberg, brother-in-laws Don (Ruth), Carl and Lenard (Verla) & (Murial) Wiese, and sister-in-law Bev Wiese.
