Shirley M. Kilcourse, age 93 years, passed away on Friday August 24, 2018. She was born on February 16, 1925 in Waukegan, IL. to Leo and Georgia Cashmore. Shirley worked in the fashion industry, serving as a personal stylist with a dedicated list of well-known clientele from Zion, IL. and the surrounding communities. She took great pride in being a Democrat and served as an Election Judge for the Democratic Party of Illinois. In 1968 Shirley was a delegate guest at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, IL. As a passionate Democrat, this honor was a highlight in Shirley's political life. She served as Madam President of the Women's Moose as well as President of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary in Waukegan, IL. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved riding the train to Wrigley Field. She was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and never lost her dream of the Bears winning a championship and returning to the Super Bowl.
Shirley is survived by her husband Thomas Kilcourse, son William Jarrett and daughter Cheryl McNeely. She was the proud and loving grandmother to; Jimmy Jr., Rhonda, Patty, Kip, Tammy, Tina, Robbie, Dawn, Courtney, Nathan, Raquel, Kourtney, Gabrielle, Danielle, Kelly, Joe, Debbie and Diana, and the great-grandmother to Ashley, Danielle, Lauren, Ryan, Ava and Isabella and the great-great grandmother to Gabriel, Caleb, Jaxxen and Holly. She was preceded in death by her children; Kathy, Jim, Patti and Bob.
Funeral Services for Shirley will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday August 30th at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday August 30th from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. Entombment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
