Shirley M. Jahnke (nee Behnke), age 87 years of Hartford, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Majestic Heights.
Shirley was born on February 5, 1930 in Milwaukee to Walter and Alice (nee Gross) Behnke. She married the late Frederick Jahnke and began their family in Milwaukee and later moved to Hartford. Shirley was an amazing and talented artist and sold her artwork locally. She also crocheted many items for the local hospitals. Shirley deeply loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed helping others and could make everyone smile with her quick wit and humor.
Shirley is survived by her sons Keith (Lois), Kent (Wendy), grandchildren Kristy (David), Kevin (Ashley), Jeffrey (Catherine), Tracy (Paul), great-grandchildren Emmitt, Rylee, Luke, Josslyn, Chloe, Julia, Chase, Maxx, step-great-grandchildren Taylor and Brady, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and husband Frederick.
