Obituary
Shelby Jean Hron (nee Schenk) went peacefully to Heaven on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by her family in her home. She was born February 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Ervin F. and Alice V. (nee Draves) Schenk. Shelby married her high school sweetheart, Gerald "Jerry" Hron in 1961. She worked as a secretary for the West Bend Schools for over 35 years. She and Jerry had a retirement job, owners of Twin-H Hall. She loved decorating for holidays and celebrating with family and friends. She and Jerry enjoyed dancing and having fun. Shelby and Jerry had Hudson cars and enjoyed taking them to car shows. They were members of the Hudson Car Club. She loved Elvis, and she enjoyed seeing GL Wesley perform Elvis. Most of all Shelby loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing board games, shaking dice and just being together. She had a lot of love and wisdom to share, and her love of God, which she passed on to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Shelby is survived by her children Craig Hron, Scott Hron, and Lisa Hron; grandchildren Tonya (Craig) Hafemeister, Jessica (Cameron) Brown, Mitchell Hron and Dustin (Morgan) Syrjanen; great-grandchildren Travis, Troy, Mahalia, Immanuel, and Marley. She is further survived by sisters Patricia Steiner, Sherry Page, special friend Ken Willkomm, other relatives, and friends. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, and sister Gwen Bergin.
A celebration of life for Shelby will be held on Saturday, May 3 rd at 1pm, at the West Bend VFW. 260 Sand Dr, West Bend, WI 53095.
