Obituary

Sarah Rauscher (nee Konstanz) of West Bend passed away peacefully at home of natural causes, with family at her side on Wednesday March 16, 2016.

Sarah was born in White River, South Dakota to Jacob and Friedericka (Schuler) Konstanz on Feb. 8, 1916. She married Anthony (Tony) Rauscher on Sept. 13, 1935 in Tripp, South Dakota where they had two children, Ilo and Jeanette. The family moved to West Bend in 1949. Sarah worked at the West Bend Company until she retired after 25 years.

Throughout the years Sarah has enjoyed cooking, baking, (which everyone that had the pleasure of her homemade meals will say she was the absolute best cook ever), gardening, camping and keeping a tidy, clean house. She has always enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends and most of all spending time with family was her greatest pleasure. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini parish for over 60 years. She was a member of the Christian Mother's and the West Bend Company 25 year club. For many years Sarah had been a part of weekly card clubs and several bowling leagues with her husband Tony, daughter Jeanette, and her friends. In her 80's, she was involved in three leagues a week and has won many bowling trophies. She also has enjoyed bingo and a bit of gambling in the Las Vegas and WI casinos. Along with taking road trips with her friends. She has enjoyed an ocean liner cruise with her husband Tony, as well as many trips to South Dakota and Texas to visit family and friends. She was the most caring, loving, kind and generous person you'd ever meet and was well known by her friends and family for kind heartedness and always putting others first. Sarah will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Greeting her in Heaven is her husband, parents, eleven siblings, nieces and nephews and many friends. She is survived by her two children, Ilo (Kathy) Rauscher of Texas and Jeanette (Donald) Patasius of West Bend; seven Grandchildren, Lori Patasius, Jeffrey (Lisa) Patasius, Randy (Toni) Patasius, Jamie (Jenny) Patasius, Mark (Leslie) Rauscher, Paul (Elena) Rauscher. Laura (Martin) Sandate. Twelve Great Grandchildren, one Great Great grandchild. And three siblings, Leo Konstanz, Frieda Stevenson, and Ray Konstanz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Frances Cabrini (1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend) with Father Nathan Reesman presiding. Visitation will be at church from 11:30AM until 12:45PM. Interment to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the family.
