Sandra Lee "Sandy" Ann Benson, a beloved member of the Slinger community and a devoted educator, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16th, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on Wednesday, October 21st, 1942, in Antigo, WI, Sandy graced the lives of those around her with kindness and warmth.
Sandy dedicated over 30 years of her life to shaping young minds as a cherished kindergarten teacher with the Slinger School District. Her passion and commitment to education left an indelible mark on generations of students, who remember her fondly for her nurturing guidance and infectious enthusiasm.
Preceded in death by her parents, Urban Robert Benson and Evelyn M. (née Bennett) Benson, and her dear grandmother, Anna Bennett. She is survived by her loving cousins, John and Paul Marcellis, as well as a large circle of devoted friends who became like family to her.
Sandy's gentle spirit and generous heart were known to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. To honor her life and to celebrate her legacy, a private interment will be held at St. Augustine Cemetery in Hubertus, in accordance with Sandy's wishes.
