Samuel E. Stanley, Major USAR Ret. "Sam", age 95, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Kathy Hospice. He was born on March 11, 1919 in Livonia, Indiana to Edward and Alta (nee Gardiner) Stanley. He met Connie in Vienna where he was stationed in the Army and where she was working, and they married on July 16, 1948. After Sam retired from the Army in 1960 he graduated college in 1964. After college Sam went on to work as a teacher for the Glendale school district for 17 years.

Sam enjoyed golfing and bowling in his free time.

Sam is survived by his wife of 66 years, Connie and his daughter April Stanley. Further survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and Sister Dorothy (Elton) Pitcock.
