Samuel "Sam" P. Albrecht, 81, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Samaritan Health Care Center. He was born on February 27, 1933 to the late Walter and Evelyn (nee Leichtfuss) Albrecht. He served in the US Army from 1953 until 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association and West Bend VFW Post 1393 where he also served on the Honor Guard. He worked at Briggs and Stratton for 39 years. Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He survived by his loving wife of 58 ½ years, Lois (nee Toman); children, Debra (James) Frawley, Rick (Tammy) Albrecht; grandchildren, James (fianceé Christine Meszewski) Frawley, David Frawley, Angie (Nick) Kinowski, Kristi (fiancé Tanner Leister) Albrecht, Jenni Albrecht; great-granddaughter, Neveah Frawley; sister, Dorothy (Cecil) Manley. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister, LaVerne (Walter) Kamke.
The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095). The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19th with Pastor David Kellerman presiding. Military Honors will follow. Private entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Bend Veterans Color Guard and Firing Squad (1829 Park Ave, West Bend, WI 53095).
