Ruth M. Tonn (nee Ziegler), age 88, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Serenity Villa in Slinger. She was born on July 21, 1926 in Jackson, WI to Frederick and Elsie (nee Weckmueller) Ziegler. She married Eugene Tonn on June 25, 1949. She worked at the Jackson Post office for 30 plus years and was Postmaster for her last 6 years there. She enjoyed the Amish lifestyle, gardening and animals. She was very involved with her church and especially loved being with her family.

Ruth is survived by children Mary (David) Breuer, Michael (Karen), Gordon (Patricia); 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren (2 being very special Bryce and Brinley); sister-in-law Ethel. Ruth is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene and brother Robert Ziegler.

A Funeral Service will be held at New Hope United Church of Christ (4360 Jackson Drive, Jackson WI) on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 4PM with Pastor James Hill presiding. Visitation will be held at church from 2PM until the time of the service.
