Obituary
Ruth E. Fowler - Schwartz (nee Taylor) of Slinger, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Serenity Villa at the age of 101.
Ruth was born on September 23, 1916 in Jersey City, NJ to Alonzo and Ruth (nee Welsh) Taylor. She married the late Ross O. Fowler Jr. who passed away in 1965 and the late Elmer Schwartz who passed away in 1994. Ruth enjoyed reading, needlepoint, cooking and was an avid bridge player. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in West Bend.
Ruth is survived by her son Ross O. Fowler III, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Ross O. Fowler Jr., Elmer B. Schwartz, sons Richard T. Fowler, James S. Fowler and grandson Brian Fowler.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Top of the Ridge at Cedar Ridge (113 Cedar Ridge Dr., West Bend, WI 53095). Inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society (Midwest Division, Inc., P.O. Box 902, Pewaukee, WI 53072-0902)or Special Olympics (1133 19th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036-3604).
A Special Thank You to the staff at Cedar Ridge, the staff at Serenity Villa and Horizon Hospice for all their loving care of Ruth.
