Ruth M. Knuth, age 95, of West Bend, passed away peacefully and is now with her Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Kathy Hospice. She was born on September 9, 1919 to Lorenz and Lydia (nee Radue) Ernst. Ruth was raised in Freistadt and graduated from Cedarburg High School. She met Wilfred, and they married on December 28, 1940 in Freistadt.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Family was very important to her and she cared deeply for the spiritual well-being of all her family members. She had a love for embroidery.

Ruth is survived by her children; Martin (Barbara) of West Bend, Marlene (William) Poellot of Randoph, and Marilyn (Roger) Kaschner of West Bend; thirteen grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters Alice Frenz and Irmgard (Lester) Tews; brothers Elroy and John (Marie) Ernst; brother in law George (Marlene) Knuth; and sister in law Gert Ernst. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband Wilfred Knuth; parents; sons Henry and Donald Knuth.

A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity EV. Lutheran Church (1268 Pleasant Valley Road West Bend, WI 53095) on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Korthals officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Mellon Officiating. Memorials to the church or to Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School are appreciated.
