Ruth E. Joers (nee Haug), passed away Thursday November 29, 2018 at the age of 89 years. She was born on September 17, 1929 in Milwaukee to Morris and Sylvia (nee Hansen) Haug. She attended Atonement Grade School in Milwaukee and graduated from Lutheran High School Class of 1947.

On December 31, 1950, Ruth married William A. Joers in Milwaukee and began her family. Ruth is survived by her sons; William (Deborah) and Scott, her daughter-in-law Linda Joers, grandchildren; Shelley (Tim) Wick, Andy (Alison), Kristy (Ben) Borzym, Gary (Jessi) and Brian, great-grandchildren; Danny, Sam, Josephine, Jayne, Maisy and Jack, her brother-in-law Walter Scheidemann, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William and son Daniel, and sister Phyllis Scheidemann.

Ruth enjoyed dining out, going to fish fry's, doing crossword puzzles, shopping, but especially loved to spend time with her family. Ruth was the life of the party, she was a fiery red head with a great sense of humor.

Funeral Services for Ruth will be held at11:00am on Monday December 3, 2018 at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr.). Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30am until time of service at 11:00am. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
