Ruth "Ruthie" C. Holtz (nee Bunke), age 78, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. She was born on January 7, 1937 in West Bend to Alvin and Helen (nee Otten) Bunke. Ruthie was raised in West Bend and graduated from West Bend High School. She married Bob on August 30, 1986 in Milwaukee. Ruthie was employed as a nurse at Froedtert Hospital until she retired in 1999.

Ruthie loved horseback riding, she loved to travel, and she loved to swim. She was a devout member of the Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Greenfield. She was a good wife and mother.

Ruthie is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert "Bob" Holtz; children Kurt (Karen) Wagner, Eric Wagner, Ann (Gregory) Bartow; step-children Cheryl Schaumberg, Brian Holtz, and Scott Holtz; grandchildren Kyle, Kara, and Konnar Wagner, and Jessica, James, and Edward Bartow; sibling Marilyn Blackburn; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her first husband Horst Wagner; daughter Wendy Wagner; brother Eugene "Gene" Bunke.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 12:00PM. Visitation will be held at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
