Russell "Bucky" Bayer, age 87, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 in his home with his wife. He was born on June 3, 1927 in Hartford, WI to John and Lillian (nee Klink) Bayer.

Russell is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley; children Steve (Kathy), Janice (Paul) Schlinsky; grandchildren Scott, Sonya (Ryan) Herrick, Kurt, Dean (Jennilee) and Jennifer Schlinsky; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings Doris Hefter, Richard Bayer; sisters-in-law Clara Mae Bayer, Dolores Fedorowicz. Further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Gilbert and in-laws.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church (200 E Washington St, Slinger, WI) on Saturday, February 21 at 10:30AM. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM. Inurnment will follow at New St Peter's Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
