Roy Einar Wilson "Rock", age 71, passed away after another courageous battle with cancer. On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the SSM Heath St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born on December 21, 1953, to Henry and Lois (nee Neinberg) Wilson. Roy was a motorcyclist enthusiast back in his day and was a member of the Disciples and Nomads. He enjoyed his guns, was a lifetime member of the NRA and Republican Party. Roy loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and shooting. He started working in the gravel industry as an operating engineer and then enjoyed being a truck driver with Steger Trucking and Twin Lakes Transit.
Roy survived bladder cancer for over eight years with a Neo Bladder, which was incredibly rare. He was tough and fought until the very end battling lung, bone and multiple organ cancer.
Roy will be forever loved and missed by his special friend, Brenda Kirchner; daughter, Marnie (James) Basta-Smith; Jay Bamhardt, a dear friend and previous employer; and John D. Boxall. He is further survived by many dear friends and co-workers from Twin Lakes Transit.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Bethel UCC (N4540 County Rd K Fond du Lac, WI 54937) with Pastor James M. Liddle presiding. The visitation will be at church on Sunday, January 12
th
from 12:00pm until 1:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Church Cemetery.
