Rose Mary Slesar (nee Koca), age 89, passed away on Friday August 21, 2015. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 3, 1926 to Marie (nee Schmidt) and Joseph Koca. She was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Messmer High School. She married Frank Slesar on August 19, 1944. Rose Mary and her late husband resided in West Bend since 1946 and contributed greatly to the community. Rose Mary was a charter member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish. She was an active member and officer of the Christian Women organization there. She was also a West Bend Germanfest volunteer, and was involved in other community organizations.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, sister Anne Koca, and brother Francis (Loretta) Koca.

Survivors include loving children Pat (Peter) Hoeft, Sue (Mic) Schemelin, Barb (Steve) Schmit, Mike (Ann) Slesar, Paul (Kathy) Slesar, and Jill (John) Mahlberg. Grandchildren Matthew (Rachel) Schemelin, Ben (Jenni) Schemelin, Becca (Neil) Kornstedt, Alexis (Dave) Schmitz, Erika (Evan) Spitler, Sarah (Phil) Stepanski, Jeff Schmit, Noah Slesar, and Abby Slesar. Great Grandchildren Peter and Luke Schmitz, Tore, Trygve, and Ari Schemelin, Lauren Kornstedt, Annalee Schemelin, Nathan and Ryan Stepanski. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 29 at St. Frances Cabrini (1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend) followed by a luncheon. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 to 10:30. Private burial will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation (620 S 76th Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214-1599), St. Frances Cabrini Education Fund or the West Bend Friends of Park and Recreation for a memorial bench.

The family is especially grateful for the loving and compassionate care provided by the staff at The Fields, The Samaritan Health Center, and Seasons Hospice.
