Rosalie H. Buch, 75, of Germantown, WI, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, October 24, 2015, after a brief illness at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
Rosalie was born December 5, 1939 in Mayville, WI. She was born to the late Clarence and Ella Walter of Slinger, WI. On August 30, 1958, Rosalie was united in marriage to Robert R. Buch at St. Peters Catholic Church, Slinger.
Rosalie graduated summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State College in 1977 where she received her degree in Social Science. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, she attended Central Michigan University where she also received certification as a special education teacher. She taught for 20 plus years in Midland, MI area schools as a special education and elementary grade teacher. After retiring from teaching, Rosalie volunteered in a local Head Start program. She felt passionately about the importance of very early education and was an advocate of the school free lunch program. She was often quoted as saying: "You can't teach a child who has an
empty tummy".
Rosalie is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert; her loving children, Karl Buch of Ypsilanti, MI; Kristine Krigbaum of West Palm Beach, FL; Kathleen (Ronald) Mayo of Olympia, WA, John Buch of Germantown, WI and grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Krigbaum of West Palm Beach, FL. and brother-in-law Richard Keener. Rosalie is also survived by Elaine (Peter) Strupp of Hartford, WI, John (Sherry) Walter of Campbellsport, WI and Mark (Karen) Walter of Hartford, WI. She is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends. Rosalie will be dearly missed by all those who had the
honor of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her dear youngest sister, Mary Keener.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate Rosalie's life will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 East Washington Street Slinger, WI 53086) with Father Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Kathy Hospice (3200 Pleasant Valley Road West Bend, WI 53095), or the St. Peter Catholic Church (208 East Washington Street Slinger, WI 53086) are appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at Menomonee Falls Community Hospital, the attending physicians from Aurora Health Care and the staff at The Kathy Hospice for the wonderful and loving care that Rosalie received.
