Obituary
Ronald Frederick Shaver Sr., age 86, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger surrounded by his loving family. On September 7, 1938, Ron was born in Port Washington, WI to Frederick and Ethel (nee Haskin) Shaver. The family relocated to Fredonia and Ron attended High School in Port Washington. He joined the Army Reserve in the late 1950's and served for several years. On September 16, 1972, Ron and Janice (Plate) were united in marriage enjoying over 43 years of life together with "his, hers and ours" 9 children.
Ron loved spending time with his family more than anything. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Wisconsin Badgers. Ron's favorite hobbies were coin collecting, playing the lottery, and reading, watching YouTube videos, going on "Deer Runs", and long drives with family members. He loved playing Uno, Spoons and Kings Corners with his family.
Ron is survived by his children, Pamela (Rick) JoAnne (John), Ron (Lore), Tiffini, Traci (Wayne), Vicki, Tim (Sandy), Kelli (Jerry). 20 grandchildren Kevin, Kayla, Randi, Paul, Tasha, Mason, Chase, Jack, Eli, Shawn, Jason, Joshua, Kathy, Sarah, Rebecca, Amanda, Christopher, Samantha, J.J., Michael. 21 great grandchildren Henry, Lewis, Ethan, Olivia, Kynley, Emmett, Aria, Adaline, Dakota, Sophia, Emma, Katie, Katelyn, Nicole, Elliot, Jasmine, Amariana, Deontay, Liza, Owen, Mason. Siblings Ralph, Shirley (Paul), Eva (Paul) Eugene (Gerry), & Ruth. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including his dog Tinker.
Ron is preceded in death by his beloved wife Janice, parents Fred and Ethel, siblings, Dallas, Vel, Delores, Marion, Elsie and Wayne, stepson Lesley, grandson Christopher, in-laws Harry and Lucille.
A public visitation will be on Sunday, December 15th from 11:00am until 1:00pm. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm on Sunday, December 15, 2024, with a luncheon after the service, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). Private Family Interment will be at Washington County Memorial Park on Monday, December 16th at 11:00 am.
