Roland A. Wolter, age 88 years of West Bend, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at Samaritan Health Center.
Roland was born on September 22, 1925 to Arthur and Alice (nee Fritscke) Wolter in Milwaukee. He married Pamela (nee Wysiadlowski) and the couple lived in the Milwaukee area. Roland was a WWII veteran of the US Coast Guard on the USS Grand Rapids. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Roland is survived by his wife Pamela, children Duane (Margaret), Cherilyn Murray, Rosie (Don) Stiegelbauer, Brian (Deborah), and David (Regina). He is further survived by his grandchildren Sean, Megan, Amber, Lauren, Ethan, Joelle, Seth and Craig Pena, Alina, Timothy Murray Jr., Katie Murray, Sarah Oenning and Barbara Schifalacqua, Jason Wolter; great-grandchildren Jacob and Taylor Murray, Joshua and Matthew Oenning, Sophia Schifalacqua, Darin and Rhiannon Murray; sisters Lorayne (Henry) Krell and Jeanette (Danny) Pawlak, brother Arthur Jr (Lynn), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Ann (Sally), brothers Arthur, Eugene and Arthur Jr., and son-in-law Timothy Murray.
A Funeral Service will be at 10:45 am on Saturday, June 28 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ryan LaTour presiding. Entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park of Brookfield. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, June 28 from 10:00 – 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (620 S 76th Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214-1599).
