On the Evening of Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Roger Thomas Zipoy was peacefully taken Home to be with God, his Heavenly Father. As we grieve, we too Rejoice for him!

Roger was born in the heart of Minneapolis, Minnesota on Sunday, January 31, 1937 to Loving Parents, Thomas and Elvera (nee Lewis) Zipoy. His Parents modeled for Roger Christian values, Love of Family and Compassion for others.

He contracted and survived the Polio Virus of the 1940's. In spite of the long term effects of Polio, he grew to make Education a priority in his Life. He earned Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Mathematics/Computer Science.

Roger was an ambitious, brilliant and loving man. He was an avid Reader, Historian and loved Classical Music.

After earning his Doctorate Degree, Roger relocated to Texas when offered jobs with large Electronic Companies. He held positions with EDS (Electronic Data Systems), and Texas Instruments.

It was in Texas, Roger met the Love of his Life, (Ruby) Imogene Hancock, while attending Church in Richardson, Texas. They were married on February 14, 1973, sharing 46 years of marriage together. They had a favorite song by Perry Como, "And I Love You So"-Where loneliness was no more.

Roger and Imogene traveled extensively, sharing many international experiences and Cruises. They continued their travels after both their retirements. We all enjoyed their trips to see extended family and they would make side trips to many Historical Sights. Roger had a passion for History and the Civil War.

After the passing of Roger's wife, Imogene in 2021, he was invited to relocate and share his life with his sister, Joan and Family in West Bend, Wisconsin. It was there he lived out his last years making more fond memories with his sister, Joan, niece Mary, nephews Peter and Tim and their families.

Roger was Preceded in Death by his loving wife Ruby Imogene (nee Hancock), cherished parents, Elvera (nee Lewis) and Thomas Zipoy, treasured sister Helen (Wallin, Creveling), brothers-in-law Phil Wallin and Wilson Creveling, special sister Joan (Rudd), brother-in-law Donald Rudd and "kid" brother Bill (Bonnie).

He is survived by his special sister-in-law, Bonnie (Bill), nieces: Susan (Jeff) Nielsen, Marcia Jacobson, Mary Rudd Immekus, Nancy Hancock, nephews: Peter (Mary) Rudd, Tim (Laurie) Rudd, Todd (Kaye) Wallin, Blake (Carol) Zipoy, Brad (Laura) Zipoy, Brent (Lynn) Zipoy and other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews through marriage.

Roger will be Dearly Missed by his Family. His Spirit and Memory live on in all those of us who loved him.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 West 7th Ave., West Bend, Wisconsin. Pastor Rob Kosky will be presiding. Visitation before the service will be from 10:30-11:00a.m. with the Service beginning at 11:00a.m..

Internment with a Graveside Service will take place at the Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville, Dallas, Texas 75243 at a Date to be Announced in the future.
