Obituary

Roger Truman Stephenson, 89, of West Bend, WI passed away on December 20th, 2025. Roger was born to Clarence and Lula Stephenson in Manitowoc, WI on November 15th, 1936. Roger spent and enjoyed much of his early life in Manitowoc.

Roger will be forever missed and loved by his wife of 67 years, Joan Stephenson; his children, Lee Ann Gifford, John (Donna) Stephenson, and David Stephenson; his grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Evan, Troy, Kyle; and his great-grandchildren, Bianca, Sutton, and Tucker. Roger will also be missed by his siblings, Doug Stephenson and Carol Cloud. He is preceded in death by his loving brother, Donald Stephenson.

Roger was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Business and Finance, and a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He dedicated himself to a career of 43 years at M&I Bank and faithfully retired as Senior Vice President and Head of the Trust Department.

He was an active member and served as president of his local Rotary Organization, where he once had the honor of hosting a Rotary luncheon for President Ronald Reagan. He enjoyed contributing to his community through volunteer work and fundraising for many organizations, including the West Bend YMCA and the Museum of Wisconsin Art.

Roger loved traveling the world with his wife, as well as golfing and fishing with his friends. He was a fierce Wisconsinite and never missed the opportunity to cheer for the Wisconsin Badgers or the Milwaukee Brewers.

Above all else, Roger cared for his family and never once hesitated to help anyone.

A private service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, WI.
