Obituary
Robert (Bob) Raymond Wilde, age 87, passed away peacefully at Kathy Hospice in West Bend on September 10, 2025 with family by his side. He was born on July 13, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI. to John and L. Ruth (nee Nau) Wilde. He married Jane (Jaeger) on November 16, 1957. They raised their family in Milwaukee until 1972 when they moved to West Bend.
Bob enjoyed golfing for many years, but his greatest joy came from time spent with his family. He especially loved visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren-always smiling, even when the house was full of the sounds of many excited children. He never missed a chance to cheer on his grandchildren at school activities, bursting with pride at their accomplishments.
Together, Bob and Jane tended a large garden, generously sharing vegetables with family, friends and neighbors. They also enjoyed going on day trips and weekend getaways, often making a fun stop at a casino along the way. Bob worked as a plumber for Schroeder Plumbing and then started working for the City of West Bend, where he worked until his retirement in 2000. He was always willing to help others with his many skills which kept him busy long after retirement.
Bob is survived by his son, Steven (Stacy Lanier) Wilde, daughters, Kellie Koepsel, Julie Wilde & Laurie (John) Ehnert. Grandchildren, Shannon Wilde, Jeffrey (Sara) Ehnert, Nicole (Dustin) Siem, Lauren Koepsel, Karlie Koepsel, Shelby & Sawyer Wilde. Great-Grandchildren, Anikah, Orlando, Avyanna, Elsa, Alyxandra, Kobe, Francesca, Knox, Kashmir, Imaria, Iliana, Gunnar & A'layzia. He is further survived by his brothers Ken & Jim, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Jane, his parents, brother Gene and sister Esther.
We would like to thank Barb, his special caretaker and Ally, Horizon Hospice, and Kathy Hospice for their exceptional care in his last days.
Memorials can be made to Kathy Hospice in his name.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
