Robert “Bob” Leonard Turner, age 96, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026 at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend surrounded by family. He was born on September 14, 1929 in Richland Center, WI to Earl and Florence (nee Strang) Turner. Bob grew up on a farm and enjoyed going roller skating, to the movies, ice skating and visiting with family. He met the love of his life, Winifred “Winnie” (nee Schoonover) at a roller rink, later married and were blessed with 3 children. Bob worked at Mercury from 1958 until 1990, retiring at the age of 61.

Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Winnie; 3 children, Steve (Karen), Linda (Jim) Wald and Sue (Richard) Hamman; grandchildren, Scott (Denise) Mader, Kayla Mader, Ariel (Joshua) Hagar and Jordan (fiancé Jamerie) Wald; great-grandson, Samuel Hagar; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Turner and Janice Kanable. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings, Gerald, Earl Jr. (Dorothy), George (Violet), Lucille (Don), Glen (Leila Mae), Harold, Arthur, Kenny Kanable and Duwayne (Mary).

A Funeral Service will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (777 S Indiana Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Robert Hein and Pastor Paul Janke presiding. Visitation will be at church on Saturday, August 15th from 11:00am until 11:45am. Interment will be on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 9:45am at Washington County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (501 St Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105-9959), and The Kathy Hospice.
