Robert Alan Stommel, 56, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4,2026 with his family by his side after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on April 16,1969, in Allenton, WI to Charles and Ramona (Nee:Seil) Stommel.
Bob graduated from Slinger High School and worked at Metalcraft of Mayville’s West Bend Facility for many years. In his spare time, he followed the racing circuit and was a regular at Slinger Speedway over the years. Bob was handy with tools and was always willing to lend a hand when family or friends were completing projects.
He is survived by his sisters, Katherine (Brian) Emmer and Carol (Gregg) Hutchison, one brother, Alan and 3 nieces, Jennifer (Jake) Dittmann, Kayla (Chad) Gillian, and Amanda Hutchison, as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ramona Stommel, one brother, David, one niece Sandra Emmer and a nephew, Brian Emmer.
A funeral service will be held for Bob on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Phillip Funeral Home in West Bend at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive guests in the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the start of service. Burial will be private for immediate family.
