Robert J. Steckbauer passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born on November 3, 1928 in Birnamwood, WI to Henry and Iva (nee Damm) Steckbauer and was raised in White Lake. On May 3, 1958, Robert married Marilyn Fritz and began their family. He was an operating engineer for his career and belonged to Operating Engineers Union Local 139. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casino, playing Sheepshead, watching the Packers and Brewers, but especially loved spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his two sons; Robert (Eileen) Ambrose Steckbauer and William (Lisa) Steckbauer, his grandchildren Angela (Jason) Krieger, Jason (Michele) Steckbauer, David Ambrose-Steckbauer and Maija Ambrose-Steckbauer, great-grandchildren; Hunter Timothy Bodden, Abraham William Steckbauer, Timothy Fredrick Steckbauer, Theodore Joshua Krieger, sister-in-law Veronica (Leroy) Doll, brother-in-law Eugene (Janet) Fritz, daughter-in-law Rebecca (Jeff) Padpour other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn, two sons Dale and Timothy.

Visitation for Robert will be held on Thursday, May 3rd from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 4th at Resurrection Catholic Church in Allenton at 10:00 am. Final place of rest will be at St. Anthony Cemetery.
