Robert "Bob" R. Hamernik, 88, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at The Kathy Hospice of West Bend. He was born on October 24, 1926 to William and Sarah (nee Turner) Hamernik.

He is survived by his loving children: Susan (Jerry) Kertscher, Sandra (Scott) Waranius, Sharon (Kim) Weinreich and Shelley (Michael) Zimdahl; 13 cherished grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; 16 adored great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren; sisters: Bernadine Bauer and Rosemarie Di Maggio; and brother-in-law Norbert (Theresa) Grzechowiak.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; brother, William and his wife Ruth Hamernick; sister Marguerite and her husband Dr. Robert Deutsch; and brothers-in-law Christ Bauer and Paul Di Maggio.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 12:00 PM at St. Michael's Church (8883 Forest View Rd, Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Fr. Edwin Kornath officiating. The visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, March 5th from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Michael's Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Peter Cornelius, Bob's extended medical team, the staff members of Froedtert St. Joseph's ICU, MCU, the Emergency Department and The Kathy Hospice and Cedar Crossings for all of their compassionate care.
