Obituary

Robert G. Fleischmann was born on April 20, 1935, in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin, to Wilhelm and Carrie Fleischmann. He graduated from East Troy High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. On January 24, 1956, he married Helen Hickman, and together they raised four sons in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Bob devoted his career to the skilled trade of tool and die making, a profession he practiced throughout his life.

From infancy, Bob was baptized into the Christian faith and later confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in East Troy. His faith remained central to his life, and he was dedicated to daily Scripture reading and active participation in worship.

Bob marked his 90th birthday on Easter Sunday. Just six days later, on the morning of April 26, he passed away suddenly from a heart attack, called to his eternal home.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen, and their four sons: Rev. Robert (Diane) of Hartford, WI; Kenneth (Brenda) of Naperville, IL; Ronald (Anna) of New Ulm, MN; and Rev. David (Kim) of Yuma, AZ. Bob is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, his sister Lois Galetka, his sister-in-law Tina Moitoso, and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1001 Center St, Hartford, WI, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 11:00am with visitation at the church from 9:00am until 10:45am. Inurnment will be at a later date at the St. Paul Lutheran Church columbarium, 799 St Paul Dr, Slinger, WI, in the sure hope of the resurrection.
