Robert R. "Bob" Buch, 86, of Germantown, WI, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend. Bob was born September 7, 1937, in Hartford WI, son of the late Beatrice and Raymond Buch of Slinger, WI. On August 30, 1958, Robert was united in marriage to Rosalie H. Walter at St. Peters Catholic Church, Slinger, WI.
Bob was a 1959 graduate of Whitewater State College with a bachelor's degree in physics and chemistry, he received his master's in physics from the University of Wisconsin in 1962. Shortly afterward, he joined Dow Corning Corp. as a physicist in Midland's Physical Chemistry Section. In 2006 Bob retired as a Senior Research Specialist.
He enjoyed playing in bridge groups, attending performances at the Center for the Arts in Midland, MI. He also enjoyed golfing, most sports; with a special love for baseball, and traveling; especially to visit family.
Robert is survived by his loving children, Karl Buch of Ypsilanti, MI; Kristine Krigbaum of West Palm Beach, FL; Kathleen (Ronald) Mayo of Olympia, WA, John Buch of Germantown, WI and grandchildren, Jacob (Jessie) Krigbaum and Katie Krigbaum of West Palm Beach, FL; great-grandchildren Brooks Eliot Krigbaum; sisters Betty (Algiers) and Colleen Beimel; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Sauer, Carol Ciriacks, and his brother Larry Buch.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
