Rita A. Kenner (nee Sauer), of Marshfield, WI, formerly of West Bend, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, with her son Randy, by her side.

Rita was born on March 28, 1952, in West Bend, WI to Peter and Audrey (Nelson) Sauer. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1970. Rita received her bachelor’s degree from Stevens Point and was passionate about her career in the field of Histology and working with the Electron Microscope.

Rita loved to travel and enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. She also has a passion for photography, Stephen King books & movies, and cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Rita is survived by her son, Randy Kenner of Marshfield, WI; her sister Linda Schnabel of West Bend, WI; her brothers, Richard (Sheila) Sauer of West Bend, WI., and John (Karen) Sauer of Dousman, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rita is preceded in the by her parents, Peter and Audrey Sauer; sisters, Ruth Sauer and Eileen Schroeder; brother-in-law, Art Schroeder; her grandparents Oscar and Marie Nelson; and her great-nephew Armani, and Randal Kenner.

The family would like to thank the staff at House of the Dove Hospice and Rita’s friend Linda Mertens for the loving care and support they provided to Rita. The Family would also like to recognize Randy for his dedication as her caregiver and being by his mother’s side throughout her illness.

A Celebration of Rita’s Life will be held on a later date.
