It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Richard G. "Dick" Kruse of West Bend, WI. A loving husband, proud father and treasured grandfather. Dick went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2025 at the age of 85, surrounded by his family.
His greatest blessing was being married to his beloved wife of 62 years. The beautiful bond they shared was admired by everyone who knew them, a testament to an enduring love story that will continue to inspire many generations. He felt he was the luckiest man, not through fortune or fame, but in the immeasurable love he gave and received. He was a man of great faith and led his family by example.
Dick was a hardworking man who took great pride in his long standing career in the beverage industry for over 40 years. He was a true asset to those he served and well respected by all. He loved vintage cars, travel, dancing to his favorite oldies tunes, playing games and his adventures to the casino. He had a passion for numbers and took pride in remembering everyone's birthday. Most important, he cherished the time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Dick is survived by his devoted wife Sue, his daughters Christine (Robert) Kopfmann, Cindy (Kevin) Thompson, Jennifer (Troy) Zaskowski; grandchildren, Scott and Amy Kopfmann, Hunter and Carson Zaskowski, Amanda and Ryan Thompson; sister Shirley (Robert) Musbach; brother-in-law Donald Devine, and many other relatives and friends.
Dick was proceeded in death by his parents Gilbert and Marie Kruse, sister Carol Devine, son Jimmy Kruse, and granddaughter Nicole Kopfmann.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 at 4 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church 809 S. 6th Ave, West Bend, WI 53095. Visitation from 2-4 PM. Burial to be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Washington County Memorial Park.
