Obituary

Richard "Dick" Kenfield, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Cedar Community in West Bend. He was born on April 25, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI to Leon and Clara (nee Rasmuessen) Kenfield. Dick married his love Helen (nee Schuster) on June 7, 1949 in Moscow, Idaho. He attended the University of Idaho and was in the U.S. Army from 1942-1946. Dick was a Cartographer for the U.S. Geological Survey and did mapping throughout the United States and the world including Antarctica and Saudi Arabia. He was a creative artist, a jazz aficionado, had a strong love for nature and a fun guy to golf with. Dick was a member of the American Legion Post #10 and the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum (Docent).

Dick is survived by his loving wife Helen, of 68 years; children Mark (Maureen), Molly (Jim) Strachota, Tom (Lora); grandchildren Cassie (Chris) Martin, Andrew Strachota, Meaghan Kenfield, Lilli Kenfield, Ryan (Jenny) Bernardi, Kristen Kenfield and 7 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, his son Peter (Linda) Kenfield.

A Memorial Service will be at 5:30PM Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Deacon Michael Koebel presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00PM until the time of the service (5:30PM).
