Jalas, Richard (Dick) age 88 passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Richard was born on November 2, 1926 to Herbert and Eileen (nee Tillmann) Jalas.
Dick is survived by his daughters; Barb (Jim) Lowe and Kathryn Jalas Franke; grandsons Mike and Pat Lowe, Shaun (Fiancee Kylene Menges) Franke and Richie Franke; brother Tom (Ellie) Jalas; sisters Jean Wischer, Lorraine Witt, Eileen (Jim)Vanderheiden and JoAnn (Mike) Greene; and sisters-in-law; Liela Jalas and Katherine Jalas. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Herbie, Danny, Jack, Bob and Jim; sister Josephine Jalas; brothers-in-law, Jerry Wischer, Jim Witt, and grandsons Ryan and Ross Franke.
Dick was a long time resident of Menomonee Falls, Eagle River, WI and Naples, Florida. During his years owning Associated Data Processing, he was very involved in Philanthropic Community Groups, and sponsoring high school softball teams. Dick was an active member of the North Suburban Exchange Club of Milwaukee (President 1969-71), Menomonee Falls Lions Club (President 1981-82) and the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce (President 1977). After retiring from ADP, Dick moved to his beloved Naples, FL where he was active in the Cambria Tennis Club, among his many other activities. Retirement wasn't suited to Dick, as he used to say, "How much tennis, golf and bike riding can a person do?" He moved back to Milwaukee and bought Stabelfeldt's Floral, which he owned for many years before moving back to Naples.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 18 between 5 and 8
at the Trysting Place Pub on the corner of Appleton Avenue and Good Hope Roads in Menomonee Falls.
