Raymond "Red" C. Miller, 82, formerly from Allenton, passed away on December 12, 2013 at the Samaritan Health Care Center. He was born in LaValle, Wisconsin on December 16, 1930 to late Milo and Mary (nee Carl) Miller. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Lucille "Daisy" (nee Gasper) on January 29, 1955. He was a retired member of the IBEW of electrical workers. Red loved spending time watching his family play softball and also enjoyed riding horses.
Red is survived by his children, Brian "Emmett" (Mary), daughter-in-law, Carol Miller, Cheryl (Wes) Gaedtke, Eugene (Khris), and Greg (friend, Janet); grand-children, Craig (Nicole), JJ (Sally), Christopher (Nicole), Morgan, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Gia, Aiden, Ethan, and Clayton; sister, Betty (Ralph) Blum of Baraboo, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; son, Clayton; granddaughter, Corrinne; and sister, Marjorie Abraham.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Resurrection Catholic Parish (215 Main St, Allenton, WI 53002) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. The visitation will be at church from 1:00 PM until 3:45 PM. Interment of cremains will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Allenton at a later date.
