Ralph Lloyd Hintze III son of Ralph and Ruth has passed on to heaven peacefully. He is survived by the love of his life Shirley, two of his children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his brother. Together with Shirley they raised three children of their own whom he was immensely proud of and loved dearly: Jeff (Karen), Sharlene(Harry) and Sheryl(Dan).

They also raised Shirley’s sisters: Sally, Betty and Lois and held close ties with her sister Patricia. He has eight dearly loved grandchildren: Zachary, Andew, Brockton, Katrina, Katelyn, Jacob, Abigail, Claire and was blessed with 6 great grandchildren whom he showered with love as well as fifteen nieces and nephews and their children.

Ralph attended college at UW Madison, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by Giddings & Lewis and then by Wisconsin Electric Co. until his retirement.

Ralph was a man of great faith which led to the blessing of a wide extended family in Christ. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church where he found Christ. More recently he served as a deacon at Hope Reformed Church and has recently had been attending Community Church. He was actively involved with the Gideons for over 40 years serving many roles within the organization, spreading God’s love and the blessings of our dear Savior. His deep friendships which he developed through small groups, bible studies and through the Gideons were deeply treasured.

He enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, history, researching ancestry, dancing, music, westerns and of course the Packers. His days often started with coffee and watching the birds at the feeders. He treasured his morning devotions with his wife. More than anything, he loved to spend time with family. Ralph was blessed with the gift of gab and could strike up a conversation with anyone – anywhere. He will be remembered for his deep love of Christ and for his quick wit and sense of humor which he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He provided us with strength, guidance and was a true example of living humbly in Christ for all of us and he will be dearly missed and held closely in all our hearts.

Ralph leaves us remembering Isaiah 40:31: “Those who hope is in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like Eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be held at Community Church of West Bend on Friday, August 14th @ 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are encouraged to write down a favorite memory or story and bring that along to share. We will be saving those to create a memory book. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Gideons or your favorite charity in Ralph’s memory.
