Phillip Charles Scalish, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, with family by his side.  He was born on November 19, 1928 to Anthony and Viola (nee Wirtenan) Scalish.  Phillip married his love, Shirley Waddell, on November 3, 1962.

Phil is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley; daughters Michele (Don) Klister and Leslie (Greg) Zuba, and sons James (Beth) Scalish, Robert Scalish and Tom (Linda) Scalish.  He is also survived by brothers-in-laws Gary (Dorothy) Waddell, Ed Walsh and Mike Boll, sister-in-law Rana Jenkins, and foster daughter Teresa Dekalands.  Phil loved being Bumpa to Joshua (Ashley) Scalish, Brittany (David) Dickenson, and Suzanne (Tyler) Bartlein; grandpa to Corin (Mark) Plucinski, Jody (Daryl) Wolf, Rachel (Steve) Hewett, Alex Scalish, Peter (Shannon) Scalish, Joshua, Shaina, Kala and Ema Dekalands.  He is further survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Raynold and Genevieve Waddell, siblings Joan Hobena, Vienna Bogda, son Gerald Scalish and sisters-in-law Glenna Kohls, Carla Walsh, and Cathy Boll and brothers-in-law Brian Kohls and Steve Jenkins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, until 11:30 am at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Joseph Fisher officiating.  Interment will follow service at Washington County Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
