Philip F. Fleming, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was born in Dubuque, Iowa on January 1, 1923 to Bernard and Georgia (nee Andelfinger) Fleming.

He is survived by his loving family including his sons Scott (Barbara) and David, and his daughter Deirdre Fleming; brother Paul Fleming; grandchildren, Ryan Philip (Kate) Fleming, Meghan (Bryan) Schneeweis; great-grandchildren, Clare and Emma Fleming and Landen and Liam Schneeweis; and his dear neighbors and friends.

Phil was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty (Stromberg) Fleming; his parents, Bernard and Georgia; his infant sister Georgia; Betty's parents Dr. Norvin and Mrs. Minerva Stromberg; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Delores (George) Schmidt and Clifford (Vivian) Stromberg.

Phil was a decorated WWII fighter pilot (P-47), later an F-86 pilot in the USAF, was awarded numerous patents as an engineer for Gehl Company, and was an avid West Bend Country Club golfer.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Phil's life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend). Visitation will begin at 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. A graveside service will follow at Washington County Memorial Park with full military honors.
