Obituary

Paul J. Laubenstein from the town of Fredonia peacefully passed on Friday, July 24th at the age of 70.

Paul was born in Port Washington on Sept 23, 1949 to Adolph and Esther Laubenstein (nee Mueller). He was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Newburg. Paul married Barbara (nee Kohlwey) on Sept 12th 1970 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. He worked as a self-employed contractor/carpenter. He was an active member of The Wausaukee Horsemen. He enjoyed hitching up the team, trail riding with friends and fishing. He always had a smile and left a conversation with "have a happy" or "onwards and upwards".

Paul is survived by 2 children. Amy (Alan) Daniels and Matthew Laubenstein. 6 grandchildren, Isabella, Christopher, Hunter, Hailey, Emma and Holten. He is further survived by his brother Mark (Donna) Laubenstein, sister Judy Dehling and sister-in-law Sue Laubenstein, the Kohlwey brothers and wives, extended family friends Hugo and Marilyn Gonzalez and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Paul is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, brother Gary and nephews Eric and Tyler.

A Funeral Service for Paul will be at 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 30th at St. Johns Lutheran Church (623 Congress St. Newburg). Visitation will be at the church starting at 3:00 PM until time of service. Interment will take place on Saturday.
