A devoted husband and loving father, Patrick "Pat" Sheeran, 69, of Fredonia, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. Pat was born on June 19, 1955, in Milwaukee to parents Jeanette "Jan" and Dennis "Denny" Sheeran. He graduated from Wauwatosa West High School, where his love of woodworking began. Known for his unwavering support, kind heart, humor, and dedication to his family, he will be deeply missed by Nina, his wife of 29 years; daughter Nicole; brothers Danny (Kathy) and Michael; and all who knew him.
Patrick knew the value of lifelong friendships and enjoyed getting together with his friends and family to share stories and lots of laughter, creating wonderful memories.
Once he retired in 2020 after 40 years as a Treeline Clearance Specialist for Asplundh, Patrick reveled in dedicating his time and expertise to his sanctuary and great pride: his yard. "Nature is ever-changing," he said. "It's amazing to see what she does with her beauty."
Pat also was passionate about art (Van Gogh and Hieronymus Bosch, especially) and music – The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Leon Redbone, John Prine, James Taylor, Van Morrison, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Donna Summer, and Lady Gaga (who Pat referred to as "Gaga"), to name only a few. His favorite pastime was cranking up his tunes while sitting on his porch with a cup of strong coffee and a cigarette. He loved a good book and took great pleasure in waking at dawn to watch the sunrise. Even through snowy, bitter winters, he often puttered around outside until sunset.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and finding joy and strength no matter what life brings. "I know losing someone is like a hole in the heart, and that's very hard to process," Patrick had said. "I'm sorry the people in my life will go through that, but I just hope they are happy to have known me."
To honor Patrick's wishes, the family will hold a private remembrance at a later date.
